Oil demand to rise sharply in next 15 years says DOE
The Energy Department projects world oil consumption reaching 88.7 million barrels per day by 2010, up from 66.7 in 1992, with US use rising to 20.9 million bpd and Asia driving growth. Prices may stay under 25 dollars, while Saudi capacity grows to 14.1 million bpd and the former Soviet Union nears 11 million bpd by 2010.
