Memphis State coach denies $10,000 offer report

Memphis State University basketball coach Dana Kirk denied a Commercial Appeal report that he offered Keith Lee family members $10,000 to sign with Memphis State in 1981. Kirk called the report terribly false and refused further questions. Lee's advisor and lawyer emphasized Lee would not comment until after the June 18 NBA draft.

Ballplayers likely to testify in drug probe trial

Pittsburgh attorney for Curtis Strong says he will call ballplayers to testify in the federal cocaine distribution case linked to major league players.
