Science Fiction Museum aims beyond ray guns in Seattle
Seattle's Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame opens in a Gehry-designed space near the Space Needle. Donna Shirley, NASA veteran, advocates exploring "what if" concepts while exhibits trace sci fi from Frankenstein to The Matrix. Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen backs the project with 20 million dollars, hoping to attract 100000 visitors in year one.
