Odessa Burglary Suspect Arrested After Store Breakin
A 19 year old Odessa man Jose Arturo Martinez was jailed on burglary charges after police say two suspects entered Anthony's Department Store through a roof vent and attempted to steal about 570.71 in merchandise time of incident and bond set at 5000 by Municipal Judge J E Weatherly. A 16 year old was detained on the same charges at the Odessa Youth Center. Another assault case involved a 39 year old man struck on Walnut Avenue with a stick, under investigation as aggravated assault. A warrant was issued for Larry Jerome Isaac in a separate shooting case involving Kevin Petties on Patterson Avenue. A 38 year old Barstow man faces heroin possession charges following a two week narcotics probe resulting in a heroin seizure valued at 20000. A Monahans pilot made an emergency plane landing near Fort Stockton after fuel issues damaging right wing and gear.
