Inmates graduate with ministry degrees at Parchman
Thomas C. Smith led a Mississippi Delta prison graduation where convicts, including killers and drug dealers, received bachelor’s degrees in Christian ministry from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Warden Burl Cain urged graduates to transform prison culture as applause and gospel songs filled the ceremony.
