Shooting spree injures thirty four in Detroit office attack

A man fired a sawed off shotgun in an eighth floor Detroit law office after being denied an insurance check, then set a firebomb next door. A woman was killed, 34 hurt, and 12 gauge shotgun used with hostages taken as fire and smoke spread through the 26 story Buhl Building. Police plan murder and assault charges. gunman captured after hours of chaos.

Chicago Officers Arrested on Drug Charges In Chicago

Fourteen police officers and two wives were indicted on 68 counts for possession and delivery of heroin cocaine and marijuana. Some sales occurred from squad cars while on duty. Investigators bought about 15000 worth of drugs during a three month probe. Offenders face up to 30 years in prison.
