Police Pedal Brigade Teaches Bicycle Safety in Brunswick
Brunswick Ohio police mounted unit uses 10speed bikes to talk with children about cycling safety wearing T-shirts and caps with pistols and radios at their sides. Mock citations target reckless riders while kids earn coupons for free milkshakes at a local restaurant. Chief Crook says the effort brings officers closer to the community like a Pied Piper figure.
