A 16 year old Odessa boy, Christopher Brito, was injured Friday afternoon in a car pedestrian crash on East 42nd Street. He remained in stable condition at Medical Center Hospital. Cindy Martinez, 36, of Odessa, was driving and Brito was cited for pedestrian failing to yield.
In the largest raid of its kind in Austin police and Travis County deputies seized more than 1,000 eight-liner gambling machines from 23 businesses and game rooms. No owners were arrested yet, but charges for gambling promotion or device possession are anticipated.
