Local Church Under the Bridge feeds homeless in Midland
The Midland group Local Church Under the Bridge meets Saturdays in a downtown parking lot near the Salvation Army to serve food and worship to up to 50 homeless people, with about 30 weekly attendees since their May 4 first service. Founder Evan Rogers leads volunteers who provide pastries, burritos, hot dogs, drinks, and sack lunches, while outreach grows through donations from the community and involvement from local churches.
