Nuns end five month pilgrimage to Texas Capitol
Two Corpus Christi nuns Mother Theresa Santoya and Sister Maria Elva Reyes finished a five month weekly pilgrimage to the Texas Legislature. They lobbied for rights of children wards of the state and watched House Bill 1492 fail in the final week. The nuns say their stay raised awareness of foster care needs and state medical expense funding, vowing to return with a revised Bill of Rights.
