Hinckley Diagnosed With Personality Disorders Not Psychotic
Dr Park E Dietz testified Hinckley suffered from personality disorders including dysthymic and narcissistic types but was not psychotic on March 30 1981. He said Hinckley knew it was wrong to shoot the president and could be held legally responsible unless insanity applied. Dietz described dysthymic mood, narcissistic preoccupation with fame, and schizoid traits, noting these do not amount to schizophrenia.

Lisa Wichser, 28, an English and economics teacher, lands in San Francisco denying she is a spy. Chinese officials accuse her of stealing secrets but U.S. officials say the papers were scholarly and likely shared by acquaintances unaware of China’s laws. Wichser hopes to marry Yi Xigong, 31, an economics student she met in China, and says she feels positive toward the Chinese people.
