Indicted Odessa men face life or death in capital murder case
Two Odessa men Willard Michael Simmons and Royce Wendell Thomas Jr were indicted for capital murder in the death of 24 year old Cherry Lane Richmond. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty. The body was found in a West Odessa pasture after an aggravated sexual assault and robbery. Witness statements place the shooting between 11 30 p m and midnight on April 15.
