Supreme Court Allows Private Suits Against FEC
The Supreme Court holds private citizens may sue over FEC decisions not to require disclosure from certain groups. In a mixed ruling the court spared a pro Israel lobby group from disclosing contributions while leaving AIPAC’s status undecided under new FEC rules. The decision also narrows cross state money laundering prosecutions and touches on union contract bargaining and school newspaper free speech.
