Kerry says Iran unlikely to change nuclear policy

Secretary of State John Kerry expressed low expectations that Iran's upcoming election will alter its nuclear aims. He reiterated that Iran must not obtain a nuclear weapon and noted new sanctions targeting Iran's petrochemicals sector. Kerry warned the clock is ticking and that any shift would come from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, not the presidential winner. He and German Foreign Minister Westerwelle framed the pressure as necessary to force a peaceful resolution.
