Uematsu, 26, killed 19 patients at the Tsukui Yamayuk en facility in Sagamihara after being fired. He had previously delivered a letter to Parliament calling for the death of all disabled people and outlining a plan to kill hundreds in a bid to “revolutionize” the world, then turned himself in two hours later. Aimed at a facility housing mentally disabled people, the attack left 25 wounded and marked Japan’s deadliest mass killing in decades.
