Dallas to cut tests in DISD to reduce duplication
Dallas Independent School District will reduce assessments by about one third next year to focus more on state required learning. Superintendent Michael Hinojosa said many district tests duplicate STAAR content and are excessive. The plan eliminates 41 of 109 ACPs, mainly in elementary grades, and reduces principal spot observations.
