Colombian rebels foiled plot to crash plane into Congress or palace
Colombia's secret police announced the arrest of Jorge Enrique Carvajalino, the so called brains of a plan by FARC to fly a plane into the Congress building during Indo Pep Day or into the presidential palace on August 7. The pilot, paid by drug traffickers, would be killed in the mission. The group aimed to steal a plane in Bogota or Baranquilla and involved contacts with FARC leadership.
