Number of active US rigs falls by 18 this week
The total rigs actively exploring for oil and gas in the United States dropped to 1,935, a loss of 18 from last week. Baker Hughes reported 1,414 oil rigs and 518 gas rigs, with three miscellaneous. Louisiana gained three, Wyoming two, Texas fell ten, New Mexico five, West Virginia three, Colorado and North Dakota one each. Alaska Arkansas California Oklahoma and Pennsylvania unchanged.

EPA reviews power plant rule in routine step
