ECISD may sell remaining bonds to gain state aid and cut taxes
Ector County taxpayers could see state help paying ECISD bonds approved in 2001. Trustees meet at noon to discuss selling about 35.6 million of unsold bonds, potentially reducing the 22 to 16 cent tax rate rise over 23 years. State funding could total over 17.5 million plus earlier 24.5 million EDA funds, depending on timing and law HB 3459.
