Jinx Jones 77 dies July 14 2003 in Kearney Nebraska born October 21 1925 near Oxford. He married Charlotte Pearson 1948 then Sharon Ludeke 1961. Four sons and two daughters survive with spouses in Oxford Alma Omaha Imperial and Imperial. Big drug seizure at Sierra Blanca checkpoint
Agents seized 3,093 pounds of marijuana valued at over 2.5 million dollars from a Kenworth trailer at the Suaree Blanca checkpoint on Interstate 10 six miles west of Sierra Blanca. The unidentified driver was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration in El Paso after the routine stop.

An Odessa woman reported unauthorized use of her credit card between 8 a.m. July 7 and 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of East 42nd Street. Another case notes fraudulent use of identifying information between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. June 19 in the 4200 block of John Ben Shepperd Parkway Boulevard. A 21 year old Odessa woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at 11:20 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of West 31st. Amanda Garcia of 1313 N. Teens Convicted in Abilene Junior High School Fire
