West Texas man killed, son wounded in gas plant holdup
In Bakersfield area a 40 year old man, Richard Graham, was killed and his 18 year old son Thomas Graham wounded when they attempted a robbery at the Intratex Co. natural gas processing plant. The attendant shot both, ending the pursuit and prompting hospital treatment for the son. Deputy Chuck Renfro had been killed earlier at a lumber and hardware store in McCamey.
