Public views overpass plans for Odessa intersection
More than 50 Odessa residents attended a Thursday public meeting at the TxDOT Odessa office to examine two overpass concepts at John Ben Shepperd Parkway and Business I 20. Engineer Dan Dalager presented costed designs, stressing a four way bridge at 9.8 million with a Dec 2007 completion if funded, else a smaller north south bridge option. Residents raised concerns on traffic, noise, landscaping, flooding, and access while officials urged mitigation and compatibility with the neighborhood.
