School Breakin Investigated by City Police

Two-car Crash Injures Two. One Seriously
In a Tuesday morning wreck at 27th and Windsor James Walter Anderson 23 of 2909 East 27th was rushed to Medical Center Hospital for internal injuries and was listed in serious condition with chest and abdominal issues. Robert Neil Hillin of Midland was treated and released after minor injuries. Anderson's 1967 model car struck Hillin's westbound vehicle causing both to be totaled. Anderson was pinned until four officers freed him. A second crash at Third and Golder injured Jimmie Doyle Farris 21 and Tom Watson Roden 58 who had cuts. Roden was northbound in a 1969 model and collided with Farris's 1965 model causing Farris to hit a utility pole and a parked car owned by Benjamin Huckabey.

A year-old boy was in satisfactory condition after a playmate accidentally shot him in the abdomen at his home. Scotty Matthews, son of Terrell M. and Mrs. Matthews of 1703 Walnut, underwent surgery to remove a slug. Police said a 12-year-old friend was showing the pistol and pulled the trigger, believing it was unloaded.
