Aggies in College Station Limit Westboro Protest at Tisdale Funeral
More than 450 civically engaged Central Texans, including Texas A&M students, formed a circle on the Central Baptist Church lawn to shield Lt. Col. Roy Tisdale’s funeral from Westboro Baptist Church protesters. They chose non confrontational action and allowed the First Amendment to guide their peaceful response, while the Patriot Guard aided in blocking signs. The Westboro group never appeared.
