Gallivan leaves private practice to join DA office
Odessa attorney Dusty Gallivan who ran the Gallivan Law Firm since 2001 was sworn in as the Ector County Assistant District Attorney, taking over after Nicholas Ball left the office. He will earn about 66 000 to 68 000 annually and will work alongside ADA Greg Conner in the 1st District. Local attorney Jason Schoel will take over the former firm, promising a smooth transition and continued services.

Odessans arrested after undercover gun investigation
Odessa police say twoOdessa residents were arrested Monday after an undercover operation tied to firearms led to a chase. Ryan Davis and Summer Fuller faced charges related to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and tampering with physical evidence as investigators recovered seven firearms, drugs, and located suspects in Hackberry.
Man Dies in Andrews County Roll-Over Crash
An Andrews County man Juan Andrews Carrasco aged 21 died in a one vehicle rollover after over correcting his Nissan. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12 16 a m by Justice of the Peace Neri Flores. The crash occurred on Southeast County Road 1000 near 400 and was reported at 11 04 p m Sunday. Carrasco was unbelted and no other passengers were listed. His body was taken to McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
