In Upton and Crockett counties wind projects King Mountain, Southwest Mesa, and FPL’s Southwest Mesa Wind Farm paid about 3 million in school taxes last year. The Pecos County wind farms generated 11 million in gross sales and created 69 to 10 percent of jobs.
