Appointee tied to Waste Control Specialists sparks concerns
A Perry appointee to Texas radiation advisory board is a consultant to Waste Control Specialists, the only company Texas officials expect to apply for a West Texas low level radioactive waste site. LawR. Jacobi said he represents several firms and that his Waste Control Specialists work is a small portion of his duties. Critics call the appointment a clear conflict of interest as the board advises state agencies on radiation rules.
