Odessa lacks a retirement center unlike similar Texas cities, while Midland’s facility carries a four year wait. Standifer and Baldwin say no national facility avoids waiting lists and the senior housing market is untapped. Texas retirees flock here, making Odessa ready to serve them and free single family homes.
