Front Brings Rain and Cooler Weather to Permian Basin
Cloudy skies and intermittent showers moved through the Permian Basin as a cold front arrived. Temperatures fell from a 54 degree early high to the lower 40s by late afternoon. Meteorologist Brian Curran cited an upper level storm system drawing moisture from the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico with a shallow cold air intrusion, signaling a shift from recent warm days.
