Midland Odessa Symphony Beneficiary Boosts Young Artist Event
Mrs. Tommye Moss of West Texas has donated ten thousand dollars to the Midland Odessa Symphony and Chorale to support the National Young Artist Competition winners in concert. The gift funds two back to back performances on February 2 at Permian High School and February 3 at Midland Lee High School, with tickets at the door for 8 p.m. shows featuring winners performing with the symphony.

The Xi Epsilon Theta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met with Odessa College literature chair Dr. Betty Gillette to discuss a pro Convention caravan from June 26 to 28 in McAllen. Chairman Shannon Simpson announced games for Deerings West Nursing Home and urged all members to attend. The next meeting is February 12 at 7 30 p.m. at Parker House with Sandi Mock presenting the program.

Ec tor County Independent School District JROTC cadets from six junior highs and three high schools attend the 13th Annual Military Ball at the American Legion ballroom from 8 p.m. to midnight.
