Healthcare fees spark outcry at Texas workers' comp hearing
At a public hearing in San Antonio, doctors and other providers condemned proposed TWCC fee guidelines as a sellout to insurers. If adopted, fees would be set at 120 percent of Medicare rates, cutting surgery payments by 38 percent, radiology by 32 percent, and rehab by 17 percent, risking provider exits and reduced access for injured workers.
