Key Energy upbeat as rigs rise and Odessa profited by 1999 shutdowns
Odessa Exploration remains for sale but Key Energy plans to keep it after a surge in cash flow. Rigs are returning from 1999 shutdowns as oil rises to around 28 to 29 dollars a barrel. Key Energy adds workers and notes 65 percent rig utilization, with profits from maintenance, workover, and drilling segments up from the prior March quarter.
