Bitter cold grips Northeast with record low winds
The Northeast froze Tuesday as Vermont reported lows of 38 below at Enosburg Falls and minus 33 at Sutton. Saranac Lake plunged to 29 below, Berlin to 28 below, and Allagash to 21 below, while ski areas faced wind and lift closures as temperatures plummeted across the region.
