ECISD athletic director outlines two artificial grass fields plan
Dennis Parker presented a coaches wish list at a district workshop proposing two artificial grass practice fields at Permian High School and Odessa High, at about 1 million dollars. The plan aims to cut labor costs, improve safety, and provide field use for multiple sports and the marching band with a 10 year lifespan. Junior high gymnastics would use OHS or PHS facilities during school hours, with year‑round practice and cross‑district competition under board approval.
