Pulp fixation yields a lifelong collection at UB library
George Kelley kept 25 000 pulp novels in his basement over decades. After an ultimatum from his wife he donated the books to the University at Buffalo Lockwood Library, where librarians catalogued them and highlighted their cultural value. The collection spans science fiction, detective, romance and more, including rare copies and complete magazine runs.
