Judge Shot Outside Austin Home Seeks Answers
District Judge Julie Kocurek returned to Travis County court to learn why she and other judges were not warned of the danger. In a private two hour session, Kocurek and colleagues pressed District Attorney Rose Lehmberg and Sheriff Greg Hamilton about a threat called into Lehmberg’s office three weeks before the shooting on November 6.
