Elaine Grove Sims born January 2 1947 in Monahans passed away after a short illness at Medical Center Hospital. She was a nurse in the emergency department at Medical Center Hospital retiring in 1999 and served as an honorary lifetime member of the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department. She is survived by sons Chuck and Mike Sims and daughter Charlotte Sims, sister Barbara Grove, grandsons Sean Christopher and Blake, granddaughter Ashley, and many relatives. Services January 10 2002 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev Dean W Duckett officiating. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
