Ark Encounter to build 500 foot wooden Noahs Ark in Kentucky
In northern Kentucky a Bible based theme park plans a 500 foot long 45 foot tall all wood ark as its centerpiece. Cary Summers chief executive of The Nehemiah Group says the ark will draw visitors and will be built by Amish communities from Indiana with completion expected in 2014. Three levels inside will feature animatronic displays and an ancient near eastern village surrounds the structure. The project aims to present the greatest story in the world rather than proselytize.
