George Esper reports that Iraqi forces faced a U S led push into Iraq and Kuwait. Baghdad claimed a withdrawal from Kuwait while launching a Scud attack that killed twelve Americans and wounded twenty five. U S officials questioned the pullout amid ongoing combat, as Desert Storm forces reported tremendous success and deep advances into Iraq.
