A 38 year old man identified as T. J. Hardin died in a trailer house fire at 641 College. The blaze became Odessa’s second fire fatality of the year, doubling the annual toll.

Monsivais admitted killing Zavala. Canada said Zavala fetched the rifle after men persisted in following her home from the club.

Forecast calls for clearing skies and mild temps with regional rainfall totals varying. Dallas, Corpus Christi and Brownsville faced brief flight delays. At least three traffic deaths were linked to the weekend drizzle. Farmers in North Central Texas show optimism as rains improve grazing, onion planting, and drought relief, though some western counties remain dry.
