Death of Odessa High Student Mystifies Family
The father of Wendy Burdette a 15 year old Odessa High School sophomore said he has no idea what led to his daughter being found dead from multiple stab wounds in a westside salvage yard last Friday. Wendy was found by two men at the 2800 block of West Second Street around 3 pm and pronounced dead at the scene. Police note an autopsy was ordered and later indicated multiple stab wounds with no immediate signs of sexual abuse. No arrests had been made early today as investigators await a full report. Wendy was active in ROTC for three years and had been described as a confidante to friends often helping them with problems.
