Born October 22 1890 in Bridgeport Texas she moved from Irving to this area in 1940s. Rev J B Doten to officiate at Chapel of The Roses. body to Irving for graveside rites. Survived by husband of Odessa two sons C B Arnold J and James W Arnold, daughter Mrs James A Williamson of Odessa and six grandchildren.

A 42 year old Odessa oilfield worker was released from custody after posting bond. D Blackwell Snyder was named in a complaint filed with Justice of the Peace L R Sweacety. Floyd Hudman city police said they arrested him after he tried to hide a pistol under the seat of his car following a stop on Andrews Highway.

Odessa Cab Driver Charged in New Burglary Case
Odessa cab driver Earnest Floyd Waddel is jailed on a burglary charge for the January 30 breakin of the South Seas Lounge on Kermit Highway. Bonds set at 1500. Waddel named another Odessa resident Jimmy McKelvy, who faces burglary charges. McKelvy also sentenced to two years in state penitentiary after pleading guilty to a separate burglary. Detectives say Waddel and McKelvy drove near the lounge. McKelvy reportedly returned with beer and change. A rear door was kicked in and about 30 dollars taken from a juke box, cigaret machine, and shuffleboard.

Hospital Treats Mishap Victims
Four people were injured Saturday in mis haps with one man, R. S. Sanders, 36, from West Lindberg remaining in Medical Center with a back injury after the trailer rolled onto him while he bent over the fender of his truck near El Paso. Others were treated and released: Jerry Stell, 7, East 10th, broken right leg from a fence fall. Aubrey Harris, 15, LaCasa, broken right arm from a fall while playing. Benny Munoz, age two, Ray Munoz of Monahans, severe bruises on the left arm from a washing machine wringer as his parents visited Odessa.

Juvenile Assault Suspect Bonded On Head Strike Charge

Jazz musician faces murder charge in downtown slaying
Millwaukee AP Johnny Allen a 27 year old jazz guitarist was taken into custody in a tavern after surrendering to police and admitting the shooting of Nancy Harris 25 mother of twins in a downtown jazz night spot. A .32 caliber revolver was recovered. Harris had recently separated from Clifton Harris 25. Witnesses said Allen fired after seeing her with two men as she attempted to leave.

Fire Damages Residence on West 26th Street and More
Fire Saturday night badly damaged the ceiling and roof of a kitchen and bathroom at Lloyd Richardson’s home on West 26th Street two blocks west of Farm Road 1936. Firemen said the blaze started from wiring between roof and ceiling. attic was on fire when they arrived. minor smoke damage reported elsewhere in the house. Additional calls included a fire at Marion’s Butane Service where leaking gasoline from a motorcycle caught fire from a heater, causing heavy damage to an overhead door and to the motorcycle owned by Marion Courtney. Grass fires at 83rd and Erron and at 42nd and Golder were extinguished with no damage.

A family of four perished in a blaze in the Halesburg section of Philadelphia. Peter P. Danksha, 42, his wife Jane, 40, and daughters Mary Ellen, 10, and Kathleen, 5, suffocated after a sofa fire confined to the living room. Danksha was a machinist.

Three Slightly Hurt In Crash In Odegon Area
Three residents were slightly injured late Saturday in a four car collision at East County Road and Terrace. Injured were W. J. Lofton 25, Mrs Carolyn Carlile 17, and Lee Drake 48. Lofton and Marvin Reynolds were drivers of two cars involved. The crash occurred when Lofton attempted to pass Reynolds, causing a chain of impacts that damaged four vehicles with total damage around $4 525. All victims were treated at the emergency room and released.

Forty six riders from the Harris County Sheriff's Mounted Posse delivered a hand painted invitation to Gov. Price Daniel in front of the state capitol, inviting him to lead the Fat Stock Show opening parade on Feb. 24 in Houston. Police Catch Young Robber In Dallas Holdups
