A warming trend returns Sunday into the upper 50s by Tuesday, while record highs and lows from past years are noted. A weak cold front moved across Texas today with light change and clearing skies.

Salvation Army receives $75,000 donation in Odessa

The Odessa Salvation Army, aided by Murphy and Rochester Real Estate and Insurance, received a $75,000 gift from the Houston Endowment for its building fund. Major William Thomas said the gift raises the total to about $1 million and earmarks 45,000 for existing facilities at 810 East 11th and 30,000 for renovating 304 Pearl to move the thrift store there. Rochester noted a prior $100,000 gift and described Houston Endowment as active in Odessa and other local causes. The endowment funds come from the Jesse Jones Endowment Fund.
