Odessa officer shooting raises fears as suspect captured
Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said attempted capital murder is a first degree felony carrying five to 99 years to life. Garza barricaded in Clayton Manor apartments in Odessa after officers attempted to serve a parole violation warrant. Officer Pedro Gonzalez and Officer Cory Wester were injured. both listed in good condition. Garza, armed and wearing a gun, was taken into custody after a daylong manhunt with SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team involvement.
