Government opens high security DEA FBI campus at former Mary Kay site
The Dallas Mary Kay campus is being converted into a 191 million, 20 acre federal law enforcement campus housing the Dallas DEA and a large lab along with the FBI Dallas headquarters. Buildings sit behind guarded roads with heavy security and flood control lake views. The project aims to centralize staff, meet security standards post Oklahoma City bombing, and relocate offices from aging facilities into a larger, gated complex. The DEA will occupy a three story 77000 square foot building with a summer 2002 FBI move planned into 224000 square feet on adjacent cleared land. Lease terms run 20 years from private developers.
