Christmas memories: readers recall their most memorable gifts
In an informal Odessa American poll, readers share the special gifts that stand out. Denise Splettstoesser cherishes a red teddy bear shared with her sister, while Leila Chisum recalls a sewing machine gifted after marriage. Others highlight gifts from loved ones, such as a radio from a father or a grandmother’s handmade purse, and some emphasize non material gifts like family togetherness or the birth of a child as the ultimate present.
