Menard May Tap Lo-Vaca Gas Line For Supply
Mayor Macy Haygood of Menard said the town may tap into Lo-Vaca Gathering Co. to resolve a gas shortage. Federal officials with the Economic Development Administration indicated a potential grant up to 75 000 to aid a 75 000 pipeline project with state matching funds of 20 000. ONeil noted Lo-Vaca lines lie about 4.5 miles away and that a rapid grant decision could follow a formal Menard application.
