Researchers show cancer requires several genes working together
Boston Globe reports Harvard Medical School researchers led by Prof. Philip Leder have demonstrated a functional link between two cancer genes. The study shows one oncogene can activate another, suggesting a cascade of events may initiate cancer and that multiple genes cooperate in tumor growth.
