Washington AP reports that after two decades of low inflation, consumer prices likely rose in November. Analysts expect the Consumer Price Index to show a 0.3 to 0.4 percent monthly gain, driven by higher energy costs, offsetting weaker meat and foods. Inflation in 1986 to date runs about 1.5 percent annually, the lowest since 1964.

Voyager circumnavigates globe as pilots risk hearing loss
Voyager began a non-stop world flight from Mojave facing equipment issues that could cause partial hearing loss for pilots as it surpasses 12,532 miles in straight-line distance. Officials aim to complete a 25,000 mile journey to circle the globe without refueling, despite fuel doubts. The aircraft climbs to 16,000 feet to avoid turbulence over central African mountains.
