FBI frees two suspects from Ten Most Wanted list
John William Sherman and Leslie Nichols were captured on the same day, ending their status on the Ten Most Wanted list. Sherman, 39, a former bank robber and bomber linked to the George Jackson Brigade, was arrested near his Golden Colorado home on a $2 million bond. Nichols, 38, tied to four Little Rock killings, was nabbed in Los Angeles on $500,000 bond. A federal magistrate set a December 24 preliminary hearing for Sherman’s trio, including his wife and another woman.
